On Wednesday, the United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution calling on Iran to immediately cease its attacks against the Gulf countries.
The resolution states that these attacks violate international law and constitute a "serious threat to international peace and security."
The resolution was passed with 13 votes in favor and two abstentions [Russia and China], and it demands the "immediate cessation of all attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran" against Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.

شورای امنیت سازمان ملل متحد روز چهارشنبه قطعنامهای را تصویب کرد که در آن از ایران خواسته میشود فوراً حملات خود علیه کشورهای حوزه خلیج فارس را متوقف کند.
در این قطعنامه آمده است که این حملات نقض قوانین بینالمللی بوده و «تهدیدی جدی برای صلح و امنیت بینالمللی» محسوب میشود.
این قطعنامه با ۱۳ رأی موافق و دو رأی ممتنع [روسیه و چین] تصویب شد و در آن «توقف فوری همه حملات جمهوری اسلامی ایران» علیه کشورهای بحرین، کویت، عمان، قطر، عربستان سعودی، امارات متحده عربی و اردن خواسته شده است.
