Israel says it has attacked the Talqan site in Parchin

The Israeli army announced on Thursday that it has attacked a nuclear facility near Tehran known as "Talqan."

In its statement, the Israeli army referred to this facility as the "Talqan Complex" and stated that the Iranian government was using it "to advance its nuclear weapons capabilities."

The Israeli army's message noted that in the 2000s, the Talqan facility was used for the development of advanced explosives and conducting sensitive tests as part of the secret "Amad" project.

It had previously been reported that Talqan 2 had been targeted during the twelve-day war between Israel and the U.S. against Iran. About a month ago, the Institute for Science and International Security based in Washington released satellite images indicating that new construction activities had taken place at the former site known as "Talqan 2." According to this institute, at that time, Iran had covered large areas of the "Talqan 2" facility in Parchin with soil after reinforcing its concrete layers.

اسرائیل می‌گوید به سایت طالقان در پارچین حمله کرده است

ارتش اسرائیل روز پنج‌شنبه اعلام کرد که به یک تأسیسات هسته‌ای در نزدیکی تهران با نام «طالقان» حمله کرده است.

ارتش اسرائیل در بیانیه‌اش از این تأسیسات با عنوان «مجتمع طالقان» یاد کرده و گفته است که حکومت ایران از آن «برای پیشبرد توانایی تسلیحات هسته‌ای» استفاده می‌کرد.

در پیام ارتش اسرائیل اشاره شده است که در دهه ۲۰۰۰ از تأسیسات طالقان برای توسعه مواد منفجره پیشرفته و انجام آزمایش‌های حساس به عنوان بخشی از پروژه مخفی «آماد» استفاده می‌شد.

پیشتر گزارش شده بود که طالقان ۲ پیشتر در جریان جنگ دوازده روزه اسرائیل و امریکا با ایران هدف حمله قرار گرفته بود.
حدود یک ماه پیش موسسه علوم و امنیت بین‌المللی مستقر در واشینگتن، با انتشار تصاویری ماهواره‌ای گفته بود که در محل سابق این سایت که به نام «طالقان ۲» هم خوانده می‌شد، فعالیت‌های ساخت‌وساز جدیدی انجام شده است.
به گفته این موسسه، ایران در آن زمان پس از تقویت لایه‌های بتنی تأسیسات «طالقان ۲» در پارچین، بخش‌های وسیعی از آن را با خاک پوشانده‌ است.
