Chris Wright, the U.S. Secretary of Energy, said in an interview with ABC News: "I think this conflict will definitely come to an end in the coming weeks; it may even finish sooner than that. However, this conflict will end in the coming weeks, and after that, we will see an increase in supply and a decrease in prices."
These remarks come as oil and gas prices are rising in global markets. As a result of the war between the U.S. and Israel with Iran, the Strait of Hormuz, which is the passage for about 20% of the world's oil, has effectively been closed, and the United States is working to secure it.
