Channel 12 of Israel reported that the Israeli attack on Iran's South Pars gas field — the largest gas field in the world — was carried out in complete coordination with the United States.
Channel 12 added that the aim of this operation was to send a message from Donald Trump to Tehran to show that his patience regarding the threats from the Islamic Republic against shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is running out.
A senior Israeli official told Channel 12: "Israel cooperated operationally to convey the message from the U.S.; either the Strait of Hormuz will be opened and the Iranians will remove the mines, or all of this natural gas infrastructure and other energy facilities will be destroyed."
Earlier, CNN reported that a U.S. official stated that the United States did not target Iran's gas facilities and that this operation was carried out by Israel.

Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the attack on energy infrastructure and wrote on X that such actions complicate the situation and could have "uncontrollable" consequences that would involve the entire world.
The National Iranian Gas Company announced that following the attack on gas facilities in the south of the country, some refining units were damaged, but no casualties were reported and all employees are in good health.

کانال ۱۲ اسرائیل گزارش داد حمله اسرائیل به میدان گازی پارس جنوبی ایران — بزرگ‌ترین میدان گازی جهان — کاملا با هماهنگی ایالات متحده انجام شده است.
کانال ۱۲ افزود هدف این عملیات ارسال پیامی از سوی دونالد ترامپ به تهران بود تا نشان دهد صبر او در برابر تهدیدهای تهدیدهای جمهوری اسلامی علیه کشتی‌رانی در تنگه هرمز در حال پایان است.
یک مقام ارشد اسرائیلی به کانال ۱۲ گفت: «اسرائیل از نظر عملیاتی همکاری کرد تا پیام آمریکا منتقل شود؛ یا تنگه هرمز باز می‌شود و ایرانی‌ها مین‌ها را برمی‌دارند، یا کل این تاسیسات گاز طبیعی و دیگر تاسیسات انرژی نابود خواهند شد.»
پیش‌تر سی‌ان‌ان نوشت که یک مقام آمریکایی اعلام کرده ایالات متحده تاسیسات گازی ایران را هدف قرار نداده و این عملیات توسط اسرائیل انجام شده است.

مسعود پزشکیان حمله به زیرساخت‌های انرژی را محکوم کرد و در شبکه ایکس نوشت این‌گونه اقدامات شرایط را پیچیده‌تر کرده و می‌تواند پیامدهایی «خارج از کنترل» به‌دنبال داشته باشد که دامنه آن همه جهان را «درگیر» می‌کند.
شرکت ملی گاز ایران اعلام کرد که در پی حمله به تاسیسات گازی در جنوب کشور، بخشی از واحدهای پالایشی دچار آسیب شد اما هیچ‌گونه تلفات جانی گزارش نشده و همه کارکنان در سلامت کامل هستند.
