The Israeli army confirmed on Saturday that a ballistic missile from the Islamic Republic directly struck a building in the city of Dimona, located in the Negev Desert.

According to Agence France-Presse, Dimona hosts sensitive nuclear facilities that many believe house the only nuclear weapons arsenal in the Middle East, although Israel has never officially confirmed possessing nuclear weapons.

The Israeli army confirmed in a conversation with Agence France-Presse that the damage was caused by "the direct impact of a missile on a building" in this strategic area.

Israel's National Emergency Organization announced that following the missile attack from the Islamic Republic on the city of Dimona in southern Israel, 47 people were injured. According to the latest update from this organization, most injuries were caused by shrapnel.
The city of Dimona is about 13 kilometers away from the Negev Nuclear Research Center.

ارتش اسرائیل روز شنبه تایید کرد که یک موشک بالستیک جمهوری اسلامی مستقیما به ساختمانی در شهر دیمونا، واقع در صحرای نقب، اصابت کرده است.

به گزارش خبرگزاری فرانسه، دیمونا میزبان تاسیسات هسته‌ای حساسی است که به باور بسیاری، تنها زرادخانه تسلیحات اتمی خاورمیانه را در خود جای داده؛ هرچند اسرائیل هرگز رسما داشتن سلاح هسته‌ای را تایید نکرده است.

ارتش اسرائیل در گفتگو با خبرگزاری فرانسه تایید کرد که این آسیب‌ها ناشی از «اصابت مستقیم موشک به یک ساختمان» در این منطقه استراتژیک بوده است.

سازمان اورژانس ملی اسرائیل اعلام کرد در پی حمله موشکی جمهوری اسلامی به شهر دیمونا در جنوب اسرائیل، ۴۷ نفر زخمی شده‌اند. بر اساس تازه‌ترین به‌روزرسانی این سازمان، بیشتر جراحات بر اثر اصابت ترکش ایجاد شده است.
شهر دیمونا حدود ۱۳ کیلومتر با مرکز تحقیقات هسته‌ای نقب فاصله دارد.
