According to Tasnim, the news agency affiliated with the IRGC, the spokesperson for the Central Headquarters "Khatam al-Anbiya" reacted to Trump's warning about targeting Iran's power plants if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened within the next 48 hours, stating in a statement: "If Iran's fuel and energy infrastructure is attacked by the enemy, all energy, information technology, and desalination infrastructure belonging to the United States in the region will be targeted."

Previously, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, issued a warning message to the Islamic Republic, stating: "If Iran does not fully and unthreateningly open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours from this moment, the United States will attack this country's power plants. We will target and destroy these facilities, starting with the largest power plant."

به گزارش تسنیم، خبرگزاری وابسته به سپاه، سخنگوی قرارگاه مرکزی «خاتم الانبیا» در واکنش به هشدار ترامپ مبنی بر هدف قرارگرفتن نیروگاه‌های ایران در صورت باز نشدن تنگه هرمز تا ۴۸ ساعت آینده، با انتشار بیانیه‌ای گفت: «چنانچه زیرساخت‌های سوخت و انرژی ایران از سوی دشمن مورد تجاوز قرار گیرد، کلیه زیرساخت‌های انرژی، فن‌آوری اطلاعات و آب شیرین‌کن متعلق به آمریکا در منطقه، هدف قرار خواهند گرفت».

پیش از این، دونالد ترامپ، رئیس جمهوری آمریکا با انتشار پیامی هشدارآمیز خطاب به جمهوری اسلامی نوشت: «اگر ایران ظرف ۴۸ ساعت از همین لحظه، تنگه هرمز را به‌طور کامل و بدون تهدید باز نکند، ایالات متحده به نیروگاه‌های این کشور حمله خواهد کرد. ما این تاسیسات را هدف قرار داده و نابود خواهیم کرد، آن هم با بزرگ‌ترین نیروگاه آغاز می‌کنیم».
