⚡️Government sources of the Islamic Republic reported the appointment of an acting head of the Ministry of Intelligence following the removal of Esmail Khatib.

Seyyed Mahdi Tabatabai, the Deputy for Communications and Information at Masoud Pezeshkian's office, claimed in a message on the social media platform X that immediately after the death of Esmail Khatib, the "order for the acting head of the Ministry of Intelligence" was issued by the President and communicated to the relevant authorities.

He stated that "information regarding this matter will be provided in due time" but refrained from mentioning the name of the acting head of the Ministry of Intelligence.

The lack of publication of the new acting head's name is likely due to fears of him being targeted by the Israeli and American military.

The removal of the minister and senior officials of the Ministry of Intelligence is not limited to Esmail Khatib; in recent days, senior officials of this repressive institution, including Jalal Pourhossein, head of the espionage section, Yahya Hosseini Panjaki known as Hamidi, Deputy for Internal Security of the Minister of Intelligence, Mohsen Mahdavi Kalateh, another Deputy Minister of Intelligence, and Mohammad Basiri, have been killed following attacks by the Israeli military.

⚡️منابع دولتی جمهوری اسلامی از تعیین سرپرست وزارت اطلاعات پس از حذف اسماعیل خطیب خبر دادند.

سیدمهدی طباطبایی، معاون ارتباطات و اطلاع‌رسانی دفتر مسعود پزشکیان، با انتشار پیامی در شبکه اجتماعی ایکس مدعی شد که بلافاصله پس از کشته شدن اسماعیل خطیب، «حکم سرپرست وزارت اطلاعات» توسط رئیس‌جمهور صادر و به مراجع ذی‌ربط ابلاغ شده است.

وی با ادعای اینکه «اطلاع رسانی در این رابطه در وقت مقتضی انجام خواهد شد» از ذکر نام سرپرست وزارت اطلاعات خودداری کرد.

عدم انتشار نام سرپرست جدید وزارت اطلاعات، احتمالاً به دلیل هراس از هدف قرار گرفتن وی توسط ارتش اسرائیل و آمریکا است.

حذف وزیر و مدیران ارشد وزارت اطلاعات تنها محدود به اسماعیل خطیب نیست و طی روزها اخیر، مدیران ارشد این نهاد سرکوبگر از جمله جلال پورحسین رئیس بخش جاسوسی، یحیی حسینی پنجکی معروف به حمیدی، معاون امنیت داخلی وزیر اطلاعات، محسن مهدوی کلاته، معاون دیگر وزیر اطلاعات و محمد باصری، در پی حملات ارتش اسرائیل کشته شده‌اند.
