The ten million rial banknote has been issued at a time when concerns about the value of the rial, access to cash, and rising costs of basic goods have increased. بانک مرکزی جمهوری اسلامی در میانه جنگ و اوج‌گیری دوباره تورم، اسکناس جدید ده میلیون ریالی را وارد چرخه پولی کرده است.

اسکناس ده میلیون ریالی در حالی منتشر شده که نگرانی درباره ارزش ریال، دسترسی به پول نقد و افزایش هزینه کالاهای پایه بیشتر شده است. همزمان، صف‌های طولانی مقابل خودپردازها و افزایش تقاضا برای پول نقد نیز نشانه‌ای از فشار اقتصادی فزاینده در کشور توصیف شده است.
