I am pleased to announce that the United States of America and the country of Iran have had very good and constructive discussions over the past two days regarding achieving a complete and comprehensive resolution to our hostilities in the Middle East.

Given the atmosphere and tone of these deep, detailed, and constructive discussions, which will continue throughout the week, I have instructed the Department of Defense to postpone any military attacks against Iran's power plants and energy infrastructure for a period of five days; this decision is contingent upon the success of the ongoing meetings and discussions.
