🔸The Lebanese Foreign Ministry announced that it has withdrawn its approval of the credentials of Mohammad Reza Sheibani, the appointed ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beirut, declaring him an "undesirable element."

On Tuesday, April 4, the ministry announced that Tawfiq Samadi Khushkhu, the Iranian chargé d'affaires in Lebanon, has been summoned and informed of this decision.

🔸According to this decision, Mohammad Reza Sheibani must leave Lebanese territory by April 9 at the latest.

🔸The Lebanese Foreign Ministry also announced that Ahmad Suwaydan, the ambassador of this country in Iran, has been called for consultations. In this statement, the reason for this action is cited as "the violation of norms and principles governing diplomatic relations by Tehran."

🔸As of the publication of this report, officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran have not publicly reacted to this decision.

🔸Mohammad Reza Sheibani is a seasoned diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Middle East. He has previously served as Iran's ambassador to Lebanon and Syria, and has also worked as the Deputy for Middle Eastern Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as a special assistant to the minister on regional issues. His work has primarily focused on Lebanon, Syria, and issues related to the Palestinians.

🔸وزارت خارجه لبنان اعلام کرد که موافقت خود با استوارنامه محمدرضا شیبانی، سفیر منصوب جمهوری اسلامی ایران در بیروت، را پس گرفته و او را «عنصر نامطلوب» اعلام کرده است.

این وزارتخانه روز سه‌شنبه ۴ فروردین اعلام کرد که توفیق صمدی خوشخو، کاردار ایران در لبنان، احضار شده و این تصمیم به او ابلاغ کرده است.

🔸بر اساس این تصمیم، محمدرضا شیبانی باید حداکثر تا ۹ فروردین خاک لبنان را ترک کند.

🔸وزارت خارجه لبنان همچنین اعلام کرد که احمد سویدان، سفیر این کشور در ایران، را برای رایزنی فراخوانده است. در این بیانیه، دلیل این اقدام «نقض عرف‌ها و اصول حاکم بر روابط دیپلماتیک از سوی تهران» عنوان شده است.
