"Alireza Nadali," the spokesperson for the Tehran City Council, has told Iranian media that the name of "Ali Daei Street" in Tehran will soon be changed.

He mentioned that he has received "numerous calls" from Iranian citizens asking him and his colleagues in the naming commission of the City Council to change the name of Ali Daei Boulevard.

Alireza Nadali stated that the name of this passage will soon be changed to "Martyr Students of Minab."

The City Council spokesperson also said: "People are upset about the silence of some figures in the current wartime situation."

Previously, "Hamid Rasai," a principlist representative and a hardline figure in the government, had called for the renaming of Ali Daei Street and accused him of "aligning with the enemies."

Ali Daei is a football legend in Iran, Asia, and the world, who is always respected by sports and non-sports organizations globally.

«علیرضا نادعلی» سخنگوی شورای شهر تهران به رسانه‌های ایران گفته است که به زودی نام خیابان «علی دایی» در تهران تغییر خواهد کرد.

او گفته است که «تماسهای زیادی» از سوی شهروندان ایرانی با او و همکارانش در کمیسیون نام‌گذاری معابر شورای شهر گرفته شده و از آن‌ها خواسته‌اند نام بلوار علی دایی تغییر کند.

علیرضا نادعلی گفته که نام این گذرگاه به زودی به «دانش‌آموزان شهید میناب» تغییر خواهد کرد.

سخنگوی شورای شهر همچنین گفته است: «مردم از سکوت برخی چهره‌ها در شرایط جنگی فعلی شاکی هستند.»

پیش از این نیز «حمید رسایی» نماینده اصولگرا و از چهره‌های تندروی حکومت خواهان تغییر نام خیابان علی دایی شده و او را به «هم‌صدایی با دشمنان» متهم کرده بود.
