Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, accused Israel of attacking Iran's infrastructure following the attacks on Friday on steel production factories in Ahvaz and Isfahan, as well as the Khondab facilities in Arak.

He also stated that Israel claims these attacks were carried out "in coordination with the United States."

Araghchi wrote on the social media platform X, "This attack contradicts the extended deadline set by the U.S. President for diplomacy," and threatened that "Iran will impose a heavy cost for Israel's crimes."

The Israeli army described the attack on the heavy water facilities in Arak as "a key infrastructure for the production of plutonium used in nuclear weapons."

عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی پس از حملات روز جمعۀ اسرائیل به کارخانه‌های تولید فولاد در اهواز و اصفهان و همچنین تأسیسات خنداب در اراک، این کشور را به حملات به زیرساخت‌های ایران متهم کرد.

او همچنین گفت که اسرائیل مدعی است انجام این حملات «با هماهنگی ایالات متحده» صورت گرفته است.

عراقچی در شبکه اجتماعی ایکس نوشت «این حمله با ضرب‌الاجل تمدیدشده رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا برای دیپلماسی در تضاد است» و تهدید کرد که «ایران هزینه‌ای سنگین برای جنایات اسرائیل رقم خواهد زد.»

ارتش اسرائیل درباره حمله به تأسیسات آب سنگین اراک، آن را «زیرساختی کلیدی برای تولید پلوتونیوم مورد استفاده در سلاح هسته‌ای» عنوان کرده است.
