The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic issued a statement calling the killing of six "Iranian diplomats" in Lebanon a "heinous crime" and attributed it to Israel.

In this statement, the names Mohammad Reza Mousavi, Alireza Bayatzar, Majid Hasani Kandsar, Hossein Ahmadlou, Ahmad Rasouli, and Amir Moradi are mentioned. This comes while the published image of these individuals in domestic media shows them wearing the uniform of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

In the continuation of this statement, the ministry condemned the attack, stating that the act constitutes a clear violation of the laws and fundamental principles of international law, including diplomatic immunity and respect for the sovereignty of the host country, and deemed it an example of "organized terrorism."

وزارت امور خارجه جمهوری اسلامی در بیانیه‌ای، کشته‌شدن شش «دیپلمات ایرانی» در لبنان را «جنایتی شنیع» خواند و آن را به اسرائیل نسبت داد.

در این بیانیه، نام محمدرضا موسوی، علیرضا بیات‌زار، مجید حسنی‌کندسر، حسین احمدلو، احمد رسولی و امیر مرادی، ذکر شده است.
این درحالی است که در تصویر منتشر شده ازین افراد در رسانه‌های داخلی، نامبردگان لباس سپاه پاسداران به تن دارند.

این وزارتخانه در ادامه این بیانیه با محکوم کردن این حمله، اعلام کرد اقدام انجام‌شده نقض آشکار قوانین و اصول بنیادین حقوق بین‌الملل، از جمله مصونیت دیپلماتیک و احترام به حاکمیت کشور میزبان است و آن را مصداق «تروریسم سازمان‌یافته» دانست.
