One of the children killed in recent days, Alireza Jafari, an 11-year-old fifth-grade student, has officially been identified as a child soldier. He was killed while serving at a Revolutionary Guard checkpoint. His mother told the Hamshahri newspaper that Alireza lost his life alongside his father while they were on duty at a checkpoint in Tehran. Previously, this child's name had appeared on the list of the deceased, but recently the "Cultural Basij Organization" has also confirmed that he was killed "while on duty" at the checkpoint.

Shahram News and the human rights organization Hengaw reported this news, stating that the child's mother explained in an interview with Hamshahri how he ended up at the checkpoint, saying that on the night of the incident, Alireza's father took his 11-year-old son with him due to a "lack of personnel." According to her, teenagers aged 15 and 16 also usually participate at these checkpoints.

Additionally, the "Cultural Basij Organization" announced that this 11-year-old child was killed "while on duty" at the Army Highway checkpoint due to a drone attack.

یکی از کودکان کشته شده در روزهای اخیر، علیرضا جعفری، کودک ۱۱ ساله و دانش‌آموز کلاس پنجم دبستان، به‌طور رسمی به عنوان کودک سرباز معرفی شد.
او حین خدمت در ایست بازرسی سپاه کشته شده است. مادر او به روزنامه همشهری گفته است که علیرضا همراه پدرش در زمان انجام خدمت در یک ایست بازرسی در تهران جان خود را از دست داده است. پیش‌تر نام این کودک در فهرست کشته‌شدگان منتشر شده بود، اما به تازگی نهاد «بسیج فرهنگیان» نیز تأیید کرده است که او «حین انجام خدمت»  در ایست بازرسی کشته شده است.
سهام نیوز و سازمان حقوق بشری هه‌نگاو، با اعلام این خبر نوشته‌اند مادر این کودک در مصاحبه با همشهری درباره نحوه حضور او در ایست بازرسی گفته است که شب حادثه، پدر علیرضا به دلیل «کمبود نیرو»، فرزند ۱۱ ساله‌اش را همراه خود برده بود. به گفته او، در این ایست‌های بازرسی معمولاً نوجوانان ۱۵ و ۱۶ ساله نیز شرکت می‌کنند.
همچنین «سازمان بسیج فرهنگیان» اعلام کردە است کە این کودک ۱۱ ساله «حین خدمت» در ایست بازرسی اتوبان ارتش بر اثر حمله پهبادی جان باخته است.
