On Monday, a reporter from the New York Post wrote in a message on X that the President of the United States revealed the name of someone negotiating on behalf of the Islamic Republic during an interview with him.

The message states that Donald Trump disclosed that the U.S. government is negotiating with Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of Parliament.

Trump also told this reporter that "in about a week" it will be clear whether Qalibaf is someone the U.S. can work with or not.
