"Holy shit... or Abolfazl!"

On Friday, April 14, the state media of the Islamic Republic, including state television, claimed that a U.S. military jet was targeted and shot down in the skies over Iran.

The Tasnim news agency, affiliated with the IRGC, published images of the wreckage of this aircraft. CNN reports that contrary to the initial claims of Iranian officials, the released images pertain to an F-15 fighter jet, not an F-35. The U.S. military has not yet responded to these reports.

Simultaneously, an account linked to the IRGC's intelligence organization published a photo of a pilot's seat after ejection (emergency exit during a crash) on Iranian soil.

Hours after these reports, images of several helicopters and a refueling aircraft in the skies over Khuzestan, Kermanshah, and subsequently Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces were released by Iranian media. Fars news agency and state television claim that these helicopters and aircraft have entered Iranian airspace for the purpose of identifying and rescuing pilots.

Local officials of the Islamic Republic in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province have urged armed tribesmen and villagers to "target foreign soldiers."

"هولی شت... یا ابوالفضل!"

رسانه‌های حکومتی جمهوری اسلامی و از جمله صدا و سیما، روز جمعه ۱۴ فروردین با انتشار تصاویری ادعا کردند که یک جت جنگنده ارتش آمریکا در آسمان ایران هدف قرار گرفته و ساقط شده است.

خبرگزاری تسنیم، وابسته به سپاه تصاویری از لاشه این هواپیما را منتشر کرد. شبکه سی‌ان‌ان آمریکا می‌گوید برخلاف ادعاهای اولیه مقام‌های ایرانی، تصاویر منتشر شده مربوط به یک جنگنده اف‌۱۵ است و نه اف ۳۵. ارتش آمریکا هنوز هیچ واکنشی به این اخبار نشان نداده است.

هم‌زمان حساب کاربری منتسب به سازمان اطلاعات سپاه جمهوری اسلامی، تصویری از صندلی یک خلبان پس از ایجکت (خروج اضطراری در زمان سقوط) را در خاک ایران منتشر کرد.

ساعاتی پس از انتشار این گزارش‌ها تصاویر چند بالگرد و یک هواپیمای سوخت‌رسان در آسمان استان‌های خوزستان، کرمانشاه و متعاقبا چهارمحال و بختیاری در رسانه‌های ایران منتشر شد. خبرگزاری فارس و صداوسیما می‌گویند که این هلی‌کوپتر و هواپیماها برای شناسایی و نجات خلبانان به آسمان ایران وارد شده‌اند.

مقام‌های محلی جمهوری اسلامی در استان چهارمحال و بختیاری از عشایر و روستاییان مسلح خواسته‌اند تا «سربازارن خارجی را هدف قرار دهند.»
