Fox News reported that one of the two occupants of the American F-15E fighter jet, which was shot down in Iranian airspace, has been rescued by relief forces and is currently under medical care. Although the identity and gender of this pilot have not yet been disclosed, their health has been confirmed as stable.

Meanwhile, search and rescue operations to locate the second crew member are ongoing in Khuzestan province using specialized "Pave Hawk" helicopters, and there is hope that the cover of darkness will assist special operations teams in finding the second pilot, who has also completed survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) training, before local forces do.

This comes as reports indicate that the Islamic Republic has offered a reward for finding the American pilots, heightening the sensitivity of this mission.
