♦️ According to the New York Times, two U.S. officials who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter confirmed that on Friday, April 2, the second U.S. Air Force combat aircraft crashed in the Persian Gulf region. According to these officials, the pilot of the fighter jet, who was the sole occupant, was rescued safely.

The attack aircraft was an A-10 Warthog and crashed near the Strait of Hormuz almost simultaneously with the downing of an F-15E fighter jet over Iran. In the incident involving the F-15E, one crew member has been rescued so far, and search teams are still working to locate the second occupant.

Military officials have provided little detail about the circumstances and exact location of the A-10 crash, and it is still unclear whether the incident was due to a technical failure or if it was shot down.

♦️ به گزارش نیویورک تایمز، دو مقام آمریکایی که به دلیل حساسیت موضوع نخواستند نامشان فاش شود، تایید کردند که روز جمعه ۱۴ فروردین، دومین هواپیمای رزمی نیروی هوایی ایالات متحده در منطقه خلیج فارس سقوط کرده است. طبق گفته این مقامات، خلبان این جنگنده که تنها سرنشین آن بود، به‌سلامت نجات یافته است.

این جنگنده تهاجمی از نوع A-10 Warthog (گراز زگیل‌دار) بوده و تقریبا هم‌زمان با سرنگونی جنگنده F-15E بر فراز ایران، در نزدیکی تنگه هرمز سقوط کرده است. در حادثه مربوط به F-15E، تاکنون یکی از خدمه نجات یافته و تیم‌های جست‌وجو همچنان در تلاش برای یافتن سرنشین دوم هستند.

مقامات نظامی جزئیات اندکی درباره نحوه و مکان دقیق سقوط هواپیمای A-10 ارائه کرده‌اند و هنوز مشخص نیست که آیا این حادثه ناشی از نقص فنی بوده یا هدف قرار گرفته است.
