CBS News reported, citing two U.S. officials, that two American aircraft involved in the rescue operation of an F-15 over Iran came under fire. According to these officials, an "A-10" fighter jet participating in the search and rescue operation was targeted, and its pilot ejected over the Persian Gulf and was rescued.

CBS News added that two helicopters were also involved in this operation, and one of the two crews rescued an F-15E from a previous incident. The helicopter carrying the rescued pilot came under small arms fire, and some of its crew were injured. The helicopter landed safely, and the injured personnel are receiving treatment.

According to the report, the F-15 crashed around 3:15 PM Tehran time, and the search operation for the second crew member, a weapons systems officer, is still ongoing.

سی‌بی‌اس‌نیوز به نقل از دو مقام آمریکایی گزارش داد دو هواپیمای آمریکا که در عملیات نجات جنگنده اف-۱۵ بر فراز ایران مشارکت داشتند، هدف آتش قرار گرفتند. به گفته این مقام‌ها، یک جنگنده «ای-۱۰» که در عملیات جست‌وجو و نجات حضور داشت، هدف قرار گرفت و خلبان آن بر فراز خلیج فارس از هواپیما خارج شد و نجات یافت.

سی‌بی‌اس‌نیوز افزود دو بالگرد نیز در این عملیات مشارکت داشتند و یکی از دو خدمه اف-۱۵ ای را از سانحه پیشین نجات دادند. بالگرد حامل خلبان نجات‌یافته هدف تیراندازی سلاح‌های سبک قرار گرفت و برخی از خدمه آن زخمی شدند. این بالگرد به سلامت فرود آمد و نیروهای زخمی تحت درمان قرار دارند.

بر اساس این گزارش، اف-۱۵ حدود ساعت ۱۵:۱۵ به وقت تهران سقوط کرد و عملیات جست‌وجو برای یافتن خدمه دوم، افسر سامانه‌های تسلیحاتی، همچنان ادامه دارد.
