The Governorate of Khuzestan announced that several petrochemical units in Mahshahr, including the Razi, Karun, Imam Port, Fajr 1, and Fajr 2 complexes, have been "hit by enemy projectiles."

According to the Khuzestan Governorate, the Mahshahr special petrochemical zone was targeted at 10:45 local time.

The Governorate stated that rescue and firefighting forces quickly sprang into action, and "the smoke currently rising is due to the burning of flares, and this is to prevent the accumulation of this smoke within the system and avoid damage."

According to the Governorate, "this smoke does not cause the release of toxic substances for citizens."

As the sixth week of the war begins, the United States, Israel, and Iran have intensified their operations.

استانداری خوزستان اعلام کرد چند واحد پتروشیمی ماهشهر از جمله مجتمع پتروشیمی رازی، کارون، بندر امام، فجر ۱ و فجر ۲ «مورد اصابت پرتابه‌های دشمن» قرار گرفته است.

بنابر اعلام استانداری خوزستان، منطقه ویژه پتروشیمی ماهشهر در ساعت ۱۰:۴۵ دقیقه به وقت محلی هدف قرار گرفته است.

به گفته استانداری، نیروهای امدادی و آتش‌نشانی به سرعت وارد عمل شدند و «دودهایی که هم‌اکنون در حال تصاعد است ناشی از سوختن فلرهاست و این امر به جهت این است که از تراکم این دودها درون سیستم و بروز آسیب جلوگیری شود.»

بنابر اعلام استانداری «این دودها موجب انتشار مواد سمی برای شهروندان نمی‌شود.»

با ورود به ششمین هفته جنگ، آمریکا و اسرائیل و همچنین ایران عملیات خود را شدت داده‌اند.
