The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that its response to a potential strike on Iran's infrastructure by the U.S. President would be "beyond the region," as the deadline approaches.

In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon, April 18, the IRGC's public relations office issued a stern warning to countries it referred to as "U.S. partners" in the region, stating that it would take action against their infrastructures that would leave "the U.S. and its allies deprived of the region's oil and gas for years."

The IRGC also claimed that it has shown "a lot of restraint" so far and has had "considerations" in choosing its targets, but from now on, "all these considerations will be lifted."

The U.S. President has given the Iranian government until the morning of Wednesday, April 19, to reach an agreement and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, stating that otherwise, the U.S. will bomb Iran's power plants and bridges.

سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی در آستانه پایان مهلت رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا برای هدف قرار دادن زیرساخت‌های ایران هشدار داد که پاسخش به این اقدام احتمالی «فراتر از منطقه» خواهد بود.

در این بیانیه که بعدازظهر سه‌شنبه ۱۸ فروردین منتشر شد، روابط عمومی سپاه با لحنی تند به کشورهایی که آن‌ها را «شرکای آمریکا» در منطقه خواند، هشدار داد که با زیرساخت‌هایشان کاری خواهد کرد که «آمریکا و متحدانش تا سال‌ها از نفت و گاز منطقه محروم شوند».

سپاه پاسداران همچنین ادعا کرد که تاکنون «خویشتن‌داری زیادی داشته» و در انتخاب اهداف «ملاحظاتی» داشته است، اما از این به بعد «همهٔ این ملاحظات برداشته می‌شود».

رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا تا بامداد چهارشنبه ۱۹ فروردین به حکومت ایران برای توافق و باز شدن تنگهٔ هرمز مهلت داده و گفته است در غیر این صورت، آمریکا نیروگاه‌ها و پل‌های ایران را بمباران خواهد کرد.
