On Tuesday evening, April 6, the President of the United States reiterated that if the deadline of 8 PM tonight is not met, the United States is prepared to carry out heavy attacks against Iran. Donald Trump made these remarks during a phone conversation with Bret Baier from Fox News, stating that the deadline "of 8 PM is definitive."

On Monday, he had threatened that if an agreement to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz is not reached, the United States could target Iran's power plants and bridges, even saying that "the entire country could be destroyed in one night."

Baier described the call, saying: "I just spoke with the President. I asked him if he wanted to speculate on the chances of this ending in a negotiated agreement. He said he didn't want to set a probability. But he did say that 8 PM is definitive. That’s what he said."

He added: "Trump said if we reach that point, an attack will occur that they have never seen before. He is currently emphasizing this position. Of course, he said if negotiations progress today and lead to a tangible result, this situation might change. But at this moment, he didn't want to set a probability and said that plans are proceeding as we have them. This is a very important issue."

The President had previously threatened in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, that "a complete civilization will be destroyed tonight and will never be revived." Trump wrote: "I don’t want this to happen, but it probably will."

رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا عصر سه‌شنبه ۱۸ فروردین بار دیگر تأکید کرد اگر ضرب‌الاجل ساعت هشت امشب رعایت نشود، ایالات متحده آماده انجام حملات سنگین علیه ایران است.
دونالد ترامپ این اظهارات را در گفت‌وگوی تلفنی با برت بایر از فاکس نیوز مطرح کرد و گفت که مهلت «ساعت هشت شب قطعی است».
او روز دوشنبه تهدید کرده بود که در صورت نرسیدن به توافقی برای پایان جنگ و بازگشایی تنگۀ هرمز، ایالات متحده می‌تواند نیروگاه‌ها و پل‌های ایران را هدف قرار دهد و حتی گفت که «تمام کشور ممکن است در یک شب نابود شود».
بایر در شرح این تماس گفت: «تازه با رئیس‌جمهور صحبت کردم. به او گفتم اگر بخواهید احتمال بدهید، شانس این‌که این موضوع به یک توافق از طریق مذاکره ختم شود چقدر است؟ او گفت نمی‌خواهد احتمالی تعیین کند. اما گفت ساعت هشت شب قطعی است. این چیزی بود که گفت».
او افزود: «ترامپ گفت اگر به آن نقطه برسیم، حمله‌ای رخ خواهد داد که مانندش را ندیده‌اند. فعلاً بر همین موضع تأکید دارد. البته گفت اگر امروز مذاکرات پیش برود و به نتیجه ملموسی برسد، ممکن است این وضعیت تغییر کند. اما در این لحظه، نخواست احتمالی تعیین کند و گفت که برنامه‌ها طبق آنچه داریم در حال پیش رفتن است. این موضوع بسیار مهمی است».
رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا پیشتر در پستی در شبکه اجتماعی خود، تروث سوشال، تهدید کرده بود که «یک تمدن کامل امشب از بین خواهد رفت و هرگز احیا نخواهد شد».
ترامپ نوشت: «نمی‌خواهم چنین اتفاقی بیفتد، اما احتمالاً رخ خواهد داد».
