On Tuesday, Reuters reported, citing a senior official in Tehran who wished to remain anonymous, that Qatar conveyed Tehran's clear message to the United States and regional countries on Monday. According to this message, the Islamic Republic warned that if Washington targets Iran's power plants, "the entire region and Saudi Arabia will plunge into complete darkness due to Iran's retaliatory attacks."
Additionally, this official of the Islamic Republic warned that if the situation spirals out of control, Iran's allies (proxy forces) will act to close the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. This threat comes as Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to the leadership, had previously emphasized that the "Resistance Front" views Bab-el-Mandeb just like the Strait of Hormuz and is prepared to disrupt global energy flows with unprecedented interference.

خبرگزاری رویترز روز سهشنبه به نقل از یک مقام ارشد تهران که نخواست نامش فاش شود، گزارش داد که قطر در روز دوشنبه پیام صریح تهران را به ایالات متحده و کشورهای منطقه منتقل کرده است. بر اساس این پیام، جمهوری اسلامی هشدار داده است که اگر واشنگتن نیروگاههای برق ایران را هدف قرار دهد، «کل منطقه و عربستان سعودی با حملات تلافیجویانه ایران در تاریکی کامل فرو خواهند رفت.»
علاوه بر این، این مقام جمهوری اسلامی هشدار داد که در صورت از کنترل خارج شدن اوضاع، متحدان ایران (نیروهای نیابتی) اقدام به بستن تنگه بابالمندب خواهند کرد. این تهدید در حالی مطرح میشود که علیاکبر ولایتی، مشاور ارشد رهبری، نیز پیشتر تاکید کرده بود که «جبهه مقاومت» به بابالمندب نیز همانند تنگه هرمز مینگرد و آماده است تا جریان انرژی جهانی را با اختلالی بیسابقه روبرو کند.
