The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the Republic's agreement to a two-week ceasefire with the United States.

In a statement, the Supreme National Security Council of Iran wrote that following the approval of this body, negotiations are set to take place in Islamabad, Pakistan "within a maximum of 15 days."

According to the Supreme National Security Council, "almost all objectives - from Iran's perspective - of the war have been achieved," and "while rejecting all proposals presented by the enemy, a 10-point plan was drafted and presented to the American side through Pakistan, emphasizing essential points such as controlled passage through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with Iran's armed forces, which grants Iran a unique economic and geopolitical position, and the necessity to end the war against all components of the resistance axis."

The statement from the Supreme National Security Council does not mention the death of the former leader of the regime, the status of his successor, or the deaths of hundreds of commanders and senior officials, along with the destruction of naval and air forces.
