After CNN reported, citing a statement from the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, that the IRGC coordinates the passage through the Strait of Hormuz during the ceasefire, Trump called this CNN report a "fabrication and fraud" in a post on the social media platform Truth Social, referring to the "official statement" he had previously shared from Abbas Araghchi.
Trump wrote: "Iran's official statement has just been released and is available on the 'Truth' network." He then threatened CNN with legal action.
The Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, just minutes after Trump announced the temporary and conditional ceasefire, issued a statement claiming that the United States had accepted Tehran's 10-point plan as the basis for the upcoming two-week negotiations, stating that "controlled passage through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with the armed forces of Iran" was one of the points mentioned in Tehran's 10-point plan.

پس از آنکه سی‌ان‌ان با استناد به بیانیه شورای عالی امنیت ملی جمهوری اسلامی نوشت که سپاه در دوران آتش‌بس عبور و مرور از تنگه هرمز را هماهنگ می‌کند، ترامپ با انتشار پستی در شبکه اجتماعی تروث سوشال این گزارش سی‌ان‌ان را «جعل و تقلب» خواند و این رسانه را به «بیانیه رسمی» که خود پیش‌تر از عباس عراقچی به اشتراک گذاشته بود ارجاع داد.
ترامپ نوشت: «بیانیه رسمی ایران به‌تازگی منتشر شده و در شبکه «تروث» در ادامه آمده است.» و در ادامه سی‌ان‌ان را به پیگیری حقوقی تهدید کرد.
شورای عالی امنیت ملی جمهوری اسلامی، دقایقی پس از اعلام خبر آتش‌بس موقت و مشروط از سوی ترامپ، با انتشار بیانیه‌ای مدعی شد که ایالات متحده طرح ۱۰ماده‌ای تهران را به‌عنوان مبنای مذاکرات دو هفته آینده پذیرفته است و عبور کنترل‌شده از تنگه هرمز با هماهنگی نیروهای مسلح ایران» یکی از بندهای ذکر شده در طرح ۱۰‌ماده‌ای تهران اعلام کرد.
