In a rare event, while the Islamic Republic continues to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed to most countries in the world, a tanker flying the Russian flag successfully passed through this waterway.

Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, stated on March 16 of last year that Iran has provided safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz for some "friendly countries," including China, Russia, Pakistan, Iraq, and India.

According to reports, more than 425 tankers and fuel ships and nearly 20 LNG carriers are waiting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, bringing the total number of ships waiting in the area to over 800.

در رویدادی نادر، در حالی که جمهوری اسلامی همچنان تنگه هرمز را برای بیشتر کشورهای جهان بسته نگه داشته، یک نفتکش با پرچم روسیه موفق به عبور از این آبراه شد.

عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه ایران در ۲۶ اسفند سال گذشته گفته بود که ایران برای برخی «کشورهای دوست» از جمله چین، روسیه، پاکستان، عراق و هند عبور ایمن از تنه هرمز را فراهم کرده است.

بنابر گزارش‌ها بیش از ۴۲۵ نفتکش و کشتی سوخت و نزدیک ۲۰ کشتی حامل «ال‌ان‌جی» منتظر عبور از تنگه هرمز هستند و مجموع کشتی‌های منتظر در منطقه به بیش از ۸۰۰ فروند رسیده است.
