Emmanuel Macron announced his conversation today with Masoud Pezeshkian and stated that he has asked him to utilize negotiations with the United States in Pakistan to achieve a "sustainable reduction of tensions."

The French President wrote in a Persian message on the social media platform X on Saturday evening, April 22: "I emphasized that Iran should restore freedom and security of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible; France is ready to participate in this regard."

He further stressed the importance of fully respecting the ceasefire, including in Lebanon, and added that France firmly supports the actions of Lebanese officials as the only legitimate authority for exercising state sovereignty and making decisions about the fate of this country.

Before contacting Pezeshkian, Macron also spoke with Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and in this conversation emphasized the necessity of fully restoring freedom and security of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible.

امانوئل مکرون از گفت‌وگوی امروز خود با مسعود پزشکیان خبر داد و گفت از او خواسته است از مذاکرات با ایالات متحده در پاکستان برای دستیابی به «کاهش تنش پایدار» استفاده کند.

رئیس‌جمهور فرانسه شامگاه شنبه ۲۲ فروردین در پیامی به زبان فارسی در شبکهٔ اجتماعی ایکس همچنین نوشت: «تأکید کردم که ایران هرچه سریع‌تر آزادی و امنیت کشتیرانی در تنگه هرمز را احیا کند؛ فرانسه آمادگی دارد در این زمینه مشارکت کند.»

او در ادامه بر اهمیت رعایت کامل آتش‌بس، از جمله در لبنان، تأکید کرد و افزود فرانسه از اقدامات مقام‌های لبنانی، به‌عنوان تنها مرجع مشروع برای اعمال حاکمیت دولت و تصمیم‌گیری دربارهٔ سرنوشت این کشور، قاطعانه حمایت می‌کند.

مکرون پیش از تماس با پزشکیان با بین سلمان، ولیعهد عربستان سعودی، نیز تماس گرفت و در این گفت‌وگو بر ضرورت بازگرداندن کامل آزادی و امنیت کشتیرانی در تنگه هرمز در سریع‌ترین زمان ممکن تأکید کرد.
