The Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the IRGC, reported early Sunday, April 23, that the third round of negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad has concluded. Tasnim wrote: "Another round of in-person negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan has ended. The two sides are once again exchanging texts with the presence of expert teams. Some serious disagreements between the Iranian and American delegations in the negotiations still remain."

The official news agency of the Islamic Republic announced in Islamabad that "the trilateral negotiations between Iran, the United States, and Pakistan have just concluded."

This comes as, despite hours of intensive negotiations between Iran and the United States, some Iranian media report that "the issue of the Strait of Hormuz and several other topics remain serious points of contention."

It is unclear whether these negotiations will continue on Sunday or be postponed to another time.

خبرگزاری تسنیم، وابسته به سپاه، بامداد یکشنبه، ۲۳ فروردین‌ماه، از پایان دور سوم مذاکرات ایران و آمریکا در اسلام‌آباد خبر داد. تسنیم نوشت: «یک دور دیگر از مذاکرات حضوری ایران و آمریکا در اسلام‌آباد پاکستان پایان یافت. دو طرف بار دیگر با حضور تیم‌های کارشناسی در حال تبادل متن هستند. برخی اختلافات جدی هیات‌های ایرانی و آمریکایی در مذاکرات همچنان باقی است».

خبرگزاری رسمی جمهوری اسلامی در اسلام‌آباد اعلام کرد که «مذاکرات سه جانبه، ایران، آمریکا و پاکستان دقایقی پیش پایان یافت.»

این در حالی است که به‌رغم ساعت‌ها مذاکره فشرده بین ایران و آمریکا برخی رسانه‌های ایران می‌گویند که «هنوز مسئله تنگه هرمز و چند موضوع دیگر محل اختلاف جدی است.»

معلوم نیست که آیا این مذاکرات روز یکشنبه هم ادامه خواهد یافت یا به زمان دیگری موکول می‌شود.
