CENTCOM: Iran's maritime blockade will begin on Monday evening

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that, in execution of the President's order, it will commence a maritime blockade of all incoming and outgoing traffic to Iranian ports starting at 10 AM on April 13, Eastern Time [Monday at 5:30 PM Iran Time].

According to this announcement, the blockade will be applied equally and without discrimination against vessels from all countries entering or exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. At the same time, CENTCOM forces emphasized that the freedom of navigation for vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz to or from non-Iranian ports will not be disrupted.

It has also been stated that prior to the implementation of this blockade, additional information will be provided to commercial mariners through an official notice. All mariners are advised to closely follow maritime notices while operating in the Sea of Oman and routes leading to the Strait of Hormuz and to contact U.S. naval forces via channel 16 for ship-to-ship communication.

سنتکام: محاصره دریایی ایران دوشنبه عصر آغاز خواهد شد
