On Tuesday, April 25, Reuters reported, citing five sources, that the negotiating teams from the United States and Iran may meet again later this week in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

This news comes just a few days after the two countries' negotiations, which ended without results in the capital of Pakistan. A source involved in the negotiations told Reuters that no date has yet been set for the new talks.

Two Pakistani sources informed Reuters that Islamabad is in contact regarding a possible meeting with both parties, and their meeting is likely to take place over the weekend.

Reuters also reported, citing a senior Iranian source, that "a definite date has not been set, but the delegations have kept the end of this week open in their schedules."

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry, Army, and Prime Minister's Office, as well as the White House, did not respond to Reuters' request for comment. However, Reuters reported, citing a senior Pakistani government official, that the Iranian side has positively responded to Islamabad's request and has expressed readiness for a second round of negotiations.

این خبر تنها چند روز پس از پایان مذاکرات دو کشور که بدون نتیجه در پایتخت پاکستان پایان یافت منتشر شده است و یک منبع درگیر در مذاکرات به رویترز گفته است که هنوز تاریخی برای مذاکرات جدید تعیین نشده است.

دو منبع آگاه پاکستانی به رویترز گفتند که اسلام‌آباد در مورد دیدار احتمالی با دو طرف در تماس است و دیدار آنها احتمالا در روزهای آخر هفته انجام خواهد شد.

رویترز به نقل از یک منبع بلندپایه ایرانی هم گزارش داده است که «تاریخ قطعی تعیین نشده است اما هیئت‌ها روزهای پایان هفته جاری را در برنامه خود آزاد گذاشته‌اند.»

وزارت خارجه، ارتش و نخست‌وزیری پاکستان و نیز کاخ سفید به درخواست رویترز برای اظهارنظر در این باره پاسخ ندادند. با این حال رویترز به نقل از یک مقام بلندپایه دولت پاکستان گزارش داد که طرف ایرانی به درخواست اسلام‌آباد پاسخ مثبت داده و برای دور دوم مذاکرات اعلام آمادگی کرده است.
