The Supreme National Security Council of Iran announced on Saturday that the commander of the Pakistani army delivered new U.S. proposals to Iran, but Tehran has not yet responded to them. This comes as Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced on Friday that Iran has agreed to hand over its enriched uranium reserves. The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry rejected this claim.

The Supreme National Security Council of Iran also stated that Tehran considers the U.S. maritime blockade a "violation of the ceasefire" and will refrain from opening the Strait of Hormuz. The council's statement emphasized that Iran is "determined to maintain oversight and control over traffic through the Strait of Hormuz until the definitive end of the war and the establishment of lasting peace in the region." Just hours earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had also stated that due to the ongoing maritime blockade of Iran by the U.S., the situation in the Strait of Hormuz "has returned to its previous state."

The statement stressed that the Iranian government "will not compromise, retreat, or show leniency even in the slightest" and "will defend with all its might the interests and welfare of the Iranian people and honor the blood of the martyrs, especially the pure blood of the beloved leader."

شورای عالی امنیت ملی ایران روز شنبه اعلام کرد فرمانده ارتش پاکستان پیشنهادات جدید آمریکا را به ایران تحویل داده، اما تهران هنوز پاسخی به آنها نداده است.
این در حالی است که دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، روز جمعه اعلام کرد ایران با تحویل دادن ذخایر اورانیوم غنی‌شده خود موافقت کرده است. سخنگوی وزارت خارجه ایران این ادعا را رد کرد.

شورای عالی امنیت ملی ایران همچنین اعلام کرد که تهران محاصره دریایی توسط ایالات متحده را «نقض آتش‌بس» می‌داند و از باز کردن تنگه هرمز خودداری می‌کند.
در بیانیه این شورا آمده که ایران «مصمم است تا زمان پایان قطعی جنگ و تحقق صلح پایدار در منطقه، نظارت و کنترل بر تردد از تنگه هرمز را اعمال نماید».
ساعتی پیش‌تر سپاه پاسداران نیز گفته بود به دلیل تداوم محاصره دریایی ایران توسط آمریکا، وضعیت تنگه هرمز «به حالن قبل برگشت».

در این بیانیه تاکید شده که حکومت ایران «سر سوزنی سازش و عقب‌نشینی و مسامحه نخواهد کرد» و «با همه توان از منافع و مصالح ملت ایران و پاسداشت خون‌های عزیز، به‌ویژه خون پاک رهبر عزیزتر از جان، دفاع خواهد کرد.»
