The Al Jazeera reporter also noted that "the situation in the Strait depends on the U.S. decision to lift the blockade," and Pakistan is still working to find "any possible openings to prevent the resumption of conflicts." Hashem added that the fragile ceasefire in Lebanon has also cast a shadow over this scene, and "there is a clear insistence to link all issues." According to him, the announced visit of Ismail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force, to Baghdad to discuss the selection of a prime minister is a message from the Islamic Republic that "Tehran is not retreating from its influence in Iraq, and the war has not changed its regional policy."
