The judiciary of the Islamic Republic has announced that Amir Ali Mirjafari, one of the protesters arrested during the protests in December 2024, was executed on Tuesday, April 20, 2025.

The Mizan news agency, the official organ of the judiciary, has accused Mirjafari of "setting fire to the Jameh Mosque of Qalehak" and stated that he "led the anti-security actions of the Mossad network in that area."

No information has been released regarding the timing and conditions of the trial for this young man, how he accessed a lawyer, or his exact age.

Mizan has claimed that Amir Ali Mirjafari confessed to "setting fire to a trash can and a motorcycle" and "attacking officers." However, the report from this news agency does not mention any confession regarding the arson of the mosque.

In recent days, the judiciary of the Islamic Republic has intensified the execution process for those accused in the December protests, executing more than 10 individuals in recent weeks.

UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, May Sato, had previously stated that the recent executions in Iran "continue a long-standing pattern of using the death penalty to suppress dissenting views."

قوه قضائیه جمهوری اسلامی اعلام کرد که امیرعلی میرجعفری، از معترضان بازداشت شده در اعتراضات دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ صبح سه‌شنبه اول اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۵ اعدام شده است.

خبرگزاری میزان، ارگان رسمی قوه قضائیه، میرجعفری را متهم به «آتش‌زدن مسجد جامع قلهک» کرده و نوشته است او «لیدری اقدامات ضد امنیتی شبکه موساد در آن منطقه را برعهده داشت.»

از زمان و شرایط برگزاری دادگاه برای این جوان و چگونگی دسترسی او به وکیل و همچنین سن دقیق او خبری منتشر نشده است.

میزان ادعا کرده است که امیرعلی میرجعفری به «آتش زدن سطل زباله و موتور» و «حمله به مأموران» اعتراف کرده بود. در گزارش این خبرگزاری اما درباره اعتراف به آتش‌زدن مسجد نکته‌ای نیامده است.

قوه قضائیه جمهوری اسلامی در روزهای اخیر روند اعدام متهمان بازداشت شده در اعتراض‌های دی‌ماه را شدت بخشیده و در هفته‌های اخیر بیش از ۱۰ نفر را اعدام کرده است.

مای ساتو، گزارشگر ویژه حقوق بشر سازمان ملل، پیشتر اعلام کرده بود که اعدام‌های تازه در ایران «ادامه الگویی دیرینه در استفاده از مجازات اعدام برای سرکوب دیدگاه‌های مخالف است.»
