Caroline Levitt, the White House spokesperson, confirmed on Friday that Steve Witkoff, special envoy of Donald Trump, the President of the United States, and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and advisor, will travel to Pakistan to discuss with Iran.

She announced to reporters that the U.S. representatives will depart for this trip on Saturday morning.

❗️According to Levitt, "The Iranians reached out as the President had requested and expressed their desire for this in-person dialogue."

She added, "Therefore, the President is sending Witkoff and Kushner to hear their perspectives. We hope this dialogue will be constructive and help advance the process of reaching an agreement."
The White House spokesperson further stated, "Donald Trump has clearly defined his red lines throughout this process. He has shown flexibility in extending the ceasefire. Therefore, Steve and Jared are going to see what the Iranian side has to say."
Just earlier, CNN and Reuters reported that these two advisors of Mr. Trump are going to Pakistan to negotiate with Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister.

کارولین لویت، سخنگوی کاخ سفید روز جمعه تأیید کرد که استیو ویتکاف، فرستاده ویژه دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، و جرد کوشنر، داماد و مشاور او، برای گفت‌وگو با ایران به پاکستان سفر می‌کنند.

او در جمع خبرنگاران اعلام کرد که نمایندگان آمریکا صبح شنبه عازم این سفر می‌شوند.

❗️به گفته لویت، «ایرانی‌ها همان‌‌طور که رئیس‌جمهور از آن‌ها خواسته بود، تماس گرفتند و درخواست این گفت‌وگوی حضوری را مطرح کرد.»

او اضافه کرد: «بنابراین رئیس‌جمهور، ویتکاف و کوشنر را اعزام می‌کند تا دیدگاه‌های آن‌ها را بشنوند. ما امیدواریم این گفت‌وگو سازنده باشد و به پیشبرد روند دستیابی به یک توافق کمک کند.»
سخنگوی کاخ سفید افزود: «دونالد ترامپ خطوط قرمز خود را در طول این روند به‌روشنی مشخص کرده است. او در تمدید آتش‌بس انعطاف نشان داد. بنابراین استیو و جرد راهی می‌شوند تا ببینند طرف ایرانی چه می‌گوید.»
ساعتی پیش‌تر شبکه خبری سی‌ان‌ان و خبرگزاری رویترز اعلام کرده بودند که این دو مشاور آقای ترامپ برای مذاکره با عباس عراقچی وزیر خارجه ایران به پاکستان می‌روند.
