Axios reporter announced on Saturday, April 24, on the social media platform X that Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the U.S. presidency, and Jared Kushner, son-in-law and advisor to Donald Trump, are still in Miami and have not yet headed to Islamabad. This comes as the White House confirmed the trip of the two to Pakistan in the context of negotiations between Tehran and Washington yesterday.

News regarding this trip coincided with Abbas Araghchi's visit to Pakistan. However, Araghchi left Islamabad for Muscat on Saturday evening. It has been reported that Araghchi delivered Tehran's latest written response regarding negotiations with Washington to Pakistani officials. The Axios reporter emphasized that it was not initially planned for Araghchi to wait in Islamabad for a meeting with the U.S. envoys; rather, he would continue his trip to Muscat and Moscow and then "probably" return to Pakistan.

خبرنگار آکسیوس روز شنبه پنجم اردیبهشت در شبکه اجتماعی ایکس اعلام کرد که استیو ویتکاف، فرستاده ویژه ریاست‌جمهوری آمریکا و جرد کوشنر، داماد و مشاور دونالد ترامپ هنوز در میامی حضور دارند و به سمت اسلام‌آباد حرکت نکرده‌اند. این در حالی است که کاخ سفید روز گذشته سفر این دو به پاکستان در راستای مذاکرات تهران و واشنگتن را تایید کرده بود.

اخبار مربوط به این سفر، همزمان با سفر عباس عراقچی، وزیر امور خارجه جمهوری اسلامی به پاکستان مطرح شد. با این‌حال، عراقچی عصر شنبه اسلام‌آباد را به مقصد مسقط ترک کرد. گزارش شده است که عراقچی، آخرین پاسخ کتبی تهران درباره مذاکرات با واشنگتن را به مقامات پاکستان تحویل داده است.
