Donald Trump announced that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will no longer travel to Pakistan for discussions with the Islamic Republic. In an interview with Fox News, Trump stated that when the U.S. has "all the leverage" against the Islamic Republic, an 18-hour flight by the American delegation to Pakistan is not worth it. He added that Islamic Republic officials can contact the U.S. whenever they want.

He said, "I just told my people who were ready to go, no, you are not going to take an 18-hour flight to go there. We have all the leverage. They can contact us whenever they want, but there will be no more 18-hour flights to sit down and talk about nothing."

This news came shortly after Pakistani officials announced that Abbas Araghchi left Islamabad for Muscat, Oman, after meeting with the Prime Minister and the Army Chief of the country.

ترامپ در گفت‌وگو با شبکه فاکس‌نیوز گفت زمانی که آمریکا در تقابل با جمهوری اسلامی «همه اهرم‌ها را در اختیار دارد»، انجام یک پرواز ۱۸ ساعته از سوی هیات آمریکایی به پاکستان ارزش ندارد. او افزود مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی هر زمان که بخواهند می‌توانند با آمریکا تماس بگیرند.

او گفت: «کمی پیش به افرادم که آماده رفتن بودند گفتم نه، شما قرار نیست یک پرواز ۱۸ ساعته انجام دهید و به آنجا بروید. ما همه اهرم‌ها را در اختیار داریم. آنها هر وقت بخواهند می‌توانند با ما تماس بگیرند، اما قرار نیست دیگر پروازهای ۱۸ ساعته انجام دهید تا بنشینید و درباره هیچ چیز صحبت کنید.»

این خبر کمی بعد از آن منتشر شد که مقام‌های پاکستان اعلام کردند عباس عراقچی بعد از دیدار با نخست‌وزیر و فرمانده ارتش این کشور، اسلام‌آباد را به مقصد مسقط در عمان ترک کرده است.
