Axios reported, citing sources in the U.S. government, that the Islamic Republic has made a new proposal through Pakistani intermediaries to reach an agreement on reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending the war, while postponing nuclear negotiations to the next stage.

According to these sources, under this proposal, nuclear talks will only begin after the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of the blockade.

Axios also reported that it is expected that in a meeting on Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump will discuss the current deadlock in negotiations with Iran and potential options for the next stages of the war with senior members of his national security and foreign policy team in the White House Situation Room.

One informed source also stated that Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, has indicated to intermediaries during his two-day trips that there is no consensus within Iran's leadership structure on how to respond to the U.S. request for a long-term suspension of uranium enrichment and the transfer of enriched uranium reserves out of the country.
