The German Foreign Minister warned at the United Nations Security Council about the dangers posed by the halt in negotiations between Washington and Tehran to end the war.

Johann Wadephul stated that this situation could lead to a resurgence of conflict with global repercussions. The senior German diplomat said on Monday, April 26, during a meeting focused on maritime security at the UN Security Council in New York, that the escalation of violence, including missile attacks on civilian targets in Gulf countries, has increased the risk of spreading instability.

Johann Wadephul pointed out that the negative effects of the conflict have already spread to areas far beyond the Gulf and urged Iran to refrain from attacking other countries and to end its nuclear program.

وزیر خارجۀ آلمان در شورای امنیت سازمان ملل متحد، نسبت به خطرات ناشی از متوقف‌ماندن گفت‌وگوهای واشینگتن و تهران برای پایان‌دادن به جنگ هشدار داد.

یوهان واده‌فول گفت این وضعیت ممکن است به آغاز مجدد درگیری با تبعات جهانی منجر شود.دیپلمات ارشد آلمان روز دوشنبه هفتم اردیبهشت در نشستی با تمرکز بر امنیت کشتی‌رانی، که در شورای امنیت سازمان ملل متحد در نیویورک جریان داشت، گفت تشدید خشونت‌ها از جمله حملات موشکی به اهداف غیر نظامی در کشورهای حوزۀ خلیج فارس، خطر گسترش بی‌ثباتی را افزایش داد.

یوهان واده‌فول با اشاره به این‌که همین حالا هم آثار منفی درگیری به مناطقی بسیار دورتر از خلیج فارس گسترش یافته، گفت ایران باید از حمله به سایر کشورها پرهیز کرده و برنامۀ هسته‌ای‌اش را هم پایان دهد.
