The Axios news website, citing five advisors to Donald Trump, reported that the U.S. President is wavering between two options: launching new military attacks against Iran or waiting to see the effects of the "maximum pressure" financial sanctions on the Islamic Republic's willingness to negotiate an end to its nuclear weapons program.
According to one of Trump's advisors, he recently stated about the leaders of the Islamic Republic: "The only thing they understand is a bomb." This advisor described Trump's situation as "dissatisfied but realistic," noting that he does not want to use force but will not back down either.
The report indicates that some of Trump's senior advisors want the U.S. to maintain the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz for now and to increase economic pressure and sanctions against the Islamic Republic before returning to military attacks.

بر اساس این گزارش، برخی مشاوران ارشد ترامپ میخواهند آمریکا فعلا انسداد تنگه هرمز را حفظ کند و پیش از بازگشت به حملات نظامی، فشار اقتصادی و تحریمها علیه جمهوری اسلامی را افزایش دهد.
