Donald Trump, the President of the United States, during a ceremony at the White House attended by the King of Britain, spoke about his personal memories of his mother and her fondness for the British royal family.
Trump said at the event that his mother "loved the Queen" and would "carefully follow any royal family events on television."
He added that his mother often told him while watching royal ceremonies: "Look, Donald, how beautiful it is," emphasizing that she "really loved the royal family."
The U.S. President also referred to the youth of Charles III, the current King of Britain, saying his mother had remarked about him: "Look, young Charles... how charming he is," and humorously added: "My mom had a crush on Charles."
In conclusion, he emotionally reflected that he now thinks about what his mother "would be thinking at this moment."
