Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Kremlin, announced on Wednesday, April 28, that there was a 1.5-hour phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, describing the atmosphere of the call as "friendly and businesslike."
In this discussion, Putin condemned the recent assassination attempt on Trump, expressed his support for Trump's decision to extend the ceasefire with the Islamic Republic, and presented ideas for resolving Tehran's nuclear program issue.

In another part of the conversation, Trump expressed hope that an agreement to end the conflicts in Ukraine is close.
Putin also proposed establishing a ceasefire in Ukraine coinciding with the "Victory Day" celebrations in May, which was met with a positive response from Trump.

The Russian President described Ukraine's military actions as "terrorist methods."
In addition to security issues, the leaders of the two major powers also exchanged views on potential economic projects and cooperation in the energy sector.

یوری اوشاکوف، دستیار کاخ کرملین، روز چهارشنبه، نهم اردیبهشت، از گفتگوی تلفنی ۱.۵ ساعته میان ولادیمیر پوتین و دونالد ترامپ خبر داد و فضای این تماس را «دوستانه و کاری» توصیف کرد.
در این رایزنی، پوتین ضمن محکوم کردن سوءقصد اخیر به جان ترامپ، حمایت خود را از تصمیم او برای تمدید آتش‌بس با جمهوری اسلامی اعلام کرد و ایده‌هایی را برای حل موضوع برنامه هسته‌ای تهران ارائه داد.

در بخش دیگری از این گفتگو، ترامپ ابراز امیدواری کرد که توافق برای پایان دادن به درگیری‌های اوکراین نزدیک است.
پوتین نیز پیشنهاد برقراری آتش‌بس در اوکراین همزمان با جشن‌های «روز پیروزی» در ماه مه را مطرح کرد که با واکنش مثبت ترامپ همراه شد.

رئیس‌جمهوری روسیه در این تماس اقدامات نظامی اوکراین را «روش‌های تروریستی» توصیف کرد.
علاوه بر مسائل امنیتی، رهبران دو قدرت بزرگ درباره پروژه‌های بالقوه اقتصادی و همکاری در حوزه انرژی نیز تبادل نظر کردند.
