Donald Trump, the President of the United States, mentioned during a meeting with NASA astronauts at the White House that Vladimir Putin proposed in a phone call on Wednesday, April 28, to help Washington manage Iran's enriched uranium reserves.
During the welcoming ceremony for the "Artemis 2" astronauts at the White House, Trump referred to the details of his phone conversation with Vladimir Putin and reported on the Russian President's willingness to play a role in the Iran case.
Describing the conversation as "very good," Trump stated: "He is willing to help and participate in the enrichment issue, but I told him before you help me, I want to finish your war (in Ukraine)."
Trump further emphasized that the United States will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons and claimed that a large part of Iran's military capabilities, including its navy, air force, and defense systems, have been weakened or destroyed.
He also claimed that about 80% of the infrastructure related to missile production has been eliminated, and if an agreement is not reached, the remaining infrastructure will also be targeted.
The U.S. President added that in his conversation with Putin, the issue of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons was agreed upon by both sides, and a proposal for a ceasefire in the Ukraine war was also raised, which he stated might be accepted by the Russian side.

دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا، در حاشیه دیدار با فضانوردان ناسا در کاخ سفید، گفت که ولادیمیر پوتین در تماس تلفنی روز چهارشنبه، نهم اردیبهشت پیشنهاد داده است تا در مدیریت ذخایر اورانیوم غنی‌سازی شده ایران به واشنگتن کمک کند.
دونالد ترامپ در حاشیه مراسم استقبال از فضانوردان «آرتمیس ۲» در کاخ سفید به جزئیات گفتگوی تلفنی خود با ولادیمیر پوتین اشاره کرد و از تمایل رئیس‌جمهور روسیه برای ایفای نقش در پرونده ایران خبر داد.
ترامپ با «بسیار خوب» توصیف کردن این گفتگو، اظهار داشت: «او تمایل دارد کمک کند و در موضوع غنی‌سازی مشارکت داشته باشد، اما من به او گفتم پیش از آنکه به من کمک کنی، می‌خواهم جنگ تو (در اوکراین) را تمام کنم.»
ترامپ در ادامه با تاکید کرد که ایالات متحده اجازه نخواهد داد ایران به سلاح هسته‌ای دست یابد و مدعی شد بخش بزرگی از توان نظامی ایران، از جمله نیروی دریایی، نیروی هوایی و سامانه‌های پدافندی، تضعیف یا نابود شده‌اند.
او همچنین ادعا کرد حدود ۸۰ درصد از زیرساخت‌های مرتبط با تولید موشک از بین رفته و در صورت عدم دستیابی به توافق، باقی‌مانده نیز هدف قرار خواهد گرفت.
رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا افزود که در گفتگو با پوتین، موضوع جلوگیری از دستیابی ایران به سلاح هسته‌ای مورد توافق دو طرف بوده و همچنین پیشنهادی درباره برقراری آتش‌بس در جنگ اوکراین مطرح شده که به گفته او، ممکن است با موافقت طرف روسی همراه شود.
