Israel's Defense Minister said on Thursday that his country may soon be forced to take military action again to ensure that the Islamic Republic "does not become a threat to Israel once more."

Yisrael Katz, according to a statement from his office, said during a military ceremony: "Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is leading the efforts to achieve the goals of this campaign in coordination with (Benjamin) Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, to ensure that Iran does not become a threat to Israel, the United States, and the free world in the future."

He added: "We support this effort and provide the necessary backing, but we may soon have to act again to ensure these goals are achieved."

وزیر دفاع اسرائیل روز پنج‌شنبه گفت که کشورش ممکن است به‌زودی ناچار شود بار دیگر دست به اقدام نظامی بزند تا اطمینان حاصل شود که جمهوری اسلامی «دوباره به تهدیدی برای اسرائیل تبدیل نشود.»

یسرائیل کاتس، بر اساس بیانیه دفترش، در جریان یک مراسم نظامی گفت: «دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور ایالات متحده، با هماهنگی (بنیامین) نتانیاهو، نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل، رهبری تلاش‌ها برای دستیابی به اهداف این کارزار را بر عهده دارد تا اطمینان حاصل شود که ایران در آینده دوباره به تهدیدی برای اسرائیل، ایالات متحده و جهان آزاد تبدیل نشود.»

او افزود: «ما از این تلاش حمایت می‌کنیم و پشتیبانی لازم را ارائه می‌دهیم، اما ممکن است به‌زودی ناچار شویم دوباره اقدام کنیم تا اطمینان حاصل شود این اهداف محقق می‌شوند.»
