Criticizing weak diplomatic approaches, he stated, "We are not going to leave this half-done only to face the same problems again in three years," and explicitly declared that he is only seeking a solution that completely eradicates the threats.
Trump noted that "we will finish this the right and principled way," pointing out that if pressures had been applied correctly, this confrontation would have ended in favor of the U.S. by now, and emphasized that he would not allow an incomplete agreement to give the Iranian regime a chance to rebuild.

دونالد ترامپ روز جمعه در جریان سخنرانی در ایالت فلوریدا، با اتخاذ موضعی سرسختانه در قبال رژیم ایران، بر لزوم دستیابی به یک توافق جامع و نهایی تاکید کرد. او با انتقاد از رویکردهای دیپلماتیک ضعیف، اظهار داشت: «ما قرار نیست این کار را نیمه‌کاره رها کنیم تا دوباره سه سال دیگه با همین مشکلات روبرو شویم» و صراحتا اعلام کرد که تنها به دنبال راهکاری است که تهدیدات را به‌طور کامل ریشه‌کن کند.
