Axios news website reported that the Donald Trump administration informed the Islamic Republic in a confidential message about its plans for a naval operation in the Strait of Hormuz and warned against any interference.

According to the report, a senior U.S. official informed Tehran on Sunday that the operation aims to "guide" ships through this waterway.

Axios, citing its sources, wrote that the White House attempted to reduce the risk of escalating tensions with this message; however, despite this warning, the Islamic Republic has carried out attacks against U.S. warships, commercial vessels, and targets in the UAE.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that these attacks "are not at a level" that would lead to the resumption of a large-scale war, and the ceasefire remains in effect.

However, some U.S. and Israeli officials believe that if the diplomatic deadlock continues, Trump may issue orders to resume the war in the coming days.

وب‌سایت خبری اکسیوس گزارش داد دولت دونالد ترامپ پیش از آغاز عملیات دریایی در تنگه هرمز، در پیامی محرمانه جمهوری اسلامی را در جریان این اقدام قرار داده و نسبت به هرگونه مداخله هشدار داده است.

بر اساس این گزارش، یک مقام ارشد آمریکایی روز یکشنبه به تهران اطلاع داده عملیات با هدف «هدایت» کشتی‌ها از این آبراه انجام می‌شود.

اکسیوس به نقل از منابع خود نوشت کاخ سفید با این پیام تلاش داشته خطر تشدید تنش‌ها را کاهش دهد، اما با وجود این هشدار، جمهوری اسلامی حملاتی علیه ناوهای آمریکایی، کشتی‌های تجاری و اهدافی در امارات انجام داده است.

در همین حال، وزیر دفاع آمریکا و رئیس ستاد مشترک ارتش این کشور اعلام کردند این حملات «در سطحی نیست» که به ازسرگیری جنگ گسترده منجر شود و آتش‌بس همچنان برقرار است.

با این حال، برخی مقام‌های آمریکایی و اسرائیلی معتقدند در صورت ادامه بن‌بست دیپلماتیک، ترامپ ممکن است در روزهای آینده دستور ازسرگیری جنگ را صادر کند.
