On Tuesday, May 4, the President of the United States downplayed Iran's military capabilities, stating that Tehran "should raise the white flag of surrender," but is too proud to do so.

Donald Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House, said that Iran's military capability has been reduced to firing "primitive and ineffective weapons," and despite its overtly aggressive tone, it secretly seeks an agreement.
He said, "They are playing games, but let me be clear, they want to make a deal. And who wouldn't want to, when your army has been completely destroyed?"

دونالد ترامپ در گفت‌وگو با خبرنگاران در کاخ سفید گفت که توان نظامی ایران به شلیک «سلاح‌های ابتدایی و کم‌اثر» تقلیل یافته و با وجود لحن تهاجمی علنی، در خفا خواهان توافق است.
او گفت: «آن‌ها بازی درمی‌آورند، اما بگذارید صریح بگویم، می‌خواهند توافق کنند. و چه کسی نمی‌خواهد، وقتی ارتش‌ات کاملاً از بین رفته باشد؟»
