Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Wednesday evening that after "very good discussions" in the past 24 hours, reaching an agreement with Iran to end the war is "very likely."

Trump pointed to the current military situation, stating that Iran's defensive capabilities have significantly diminished and the country's air and naval forces are practically incapacitated. He declared, "We have won," announcing that the Islamic Republic now has a strong desire to reach an agreement.
The U.S. President identified the main condition for any agreement as preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and the removal of enriched uranium reserves from the country.

He emphasized that Iran "cannot and will not" be able to acquire nuclear weapons, considering this a part of the discussed understandings, although he did not provide further details. Axios had previously reported that one of the clauses in the U.S. proposal involves halting enrichment in exchange for a gradual lifting of sanctions.
This comes as officials from the Islamic Republic had previously rejected any negotiations regarding the cessation of enrichment and emphasized the continuation of this program within the framework of declared policies.

ترامپ با اشاره به وضعیت نظامی کنونی گفت که توان دفاعی ایران به‌شدت کاهش یافته و نیروهای هوایی و دریایی این کشور عملا از کار افتاده‌اند. او با بیان اینکه «ما پیروز شده‌ایم»، اعلام کرد که جمهوری اسلامی اکنون تمایل زیادی برای دستیابی به توافق دارد.
رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا شرط اصلی هرگونه توافق را دست نیافتن ایران به سلاح هسته‌ای و خروج ذخایر اورانیوم غنی‌شده از این کشور عنوان کرد.
