Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, announced his recent meeting with Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, and stated that they had an extensive conversation.

Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at a meeting at the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade on Thursday, May 6, referred to the two-and-a-half-hour meeting with Mojtaba Khamenei but did not disclose the topics or details discussed, merely describing him as "sincere and humble," and "a role model for the country's management and administrative system."

Following the death of Ali Khamenei, the former leader of the Islamic Republic, on the first day of the war with the U.S. and Israel, the Assembly of Experts introduced his son Mojtaba as the new leader. However, since then, no images, audio, or handwritten notes from him have been released, and Iranian media have only published a few written messages attributed to him.

مسعود پزشکیان، رئیس‌جمهور ایران، از ملاقات اخیر خود با مجتبی خامنه‌ای، رهبر جمهوری اسلامی، خبر داد و گفت با گفت‌وگوی مفصلی داشته است.

مسعود پزشکیان که روز پنجشنبه ۱۷ اردیبهشت در نشستی در وزارت صمت سخن می‌گفت، به ملاقات دو ساعت و نیمه با مجتبی خامنه‌ای اشاره کرد اما در مورد موضوع و جزئیات ملاقات و اظهارات مطرح‌شده چیزی نگفت و صرفاً او را به‌دلیل «صمیمی و متواضع بودن»، «الگویی برای نظام مدیریتی و اداری» کشور توصیف کرد.

پس از کشته شدن علی خامنه‌ای، رهبر پیشین جمهوری اسلامی، در روز نخست جنگ با آمریکا و اسرائیل، مجلس خبرگان رهبری پسرش مجتبی را به‌عنوان رهبر جدید معرفی کرد. با این حال از آن زمان هیچ تصویر، صوت یا دستخطی از او منتشر نشده و رسانه‌های ایران فقط شماری پیام مکتوب منسوب به او را منتشر کرده‌اند.
