The Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, which manages the war in Iran, issued a statement shortly after reports of attacks and exchanges of fire near the Strait of Hormuz, describing these attacks as a "violation of the ceasefire" and attributing them to "the cooperation of several regional countries with the United States." It stated: "The aggressive, terrorist, and pirate army of the United States violated the ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker moving from the coastal waters of Iran in the Jask area towards the Strait of Hormuz, as well as another ship entering the Strait of Hormuz opposite the port of Fujairah in the UAE. At the same time, they launched aerial assaults on civilian areas with the cooperation of some regional countries along the coasts of Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island."

The headquarters further claimed that Iranian military forces responded to these attacks: "The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran immediately retaliated by attacking American military vessels in the eastern Strait of Hormuz and south of Chabahar port, inflicting significant damage on them."
