The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic accused the United States of sacrificing diplomacy with "reckless military adventurism."

Abbas Araghchi wrote in a post on the social media platform X: "Whenever a diplomatic solution is on the table, the United States resorts to a reckless military adventure."

Mr. Araghchi continued by stating that whether this action is merely "a blind tactic to exert pressure" or "the deception of a saboteur" who wants to "drag the President of the United States into a new quagmire," the outcome is always the same: "Iranians never bow to pressure, but it is diplomacy that always becomes the victim."

He also described the CIA's assessment of Iran's missile stockpiles as incorrect, stating: "Our missile stockpiles and launcher capabilities are not at 75 percent as of March 1; the correct figure is 120 percent."

وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی، آمریکا را متهم کرد که با «ماجراجویی نظامی بی‌خردانه» دیپلماسی «قربانی» می‌کند.

عباس عراقچی در پستی در شبکه اجتماعی ایکس نوشت: «هر زمان که یک راه‌ حل دیپلماتیک روی میز قرار می گیرد، ایالات متحده به‌ یک ماجراجویی نظامی بی‌خردانه رو می‌آورد.»

آقای عراقچی در ادامه می‌نویسد که دلیل این اقدام چه «صرفاً یک تاکتیک کور برای اعمال فشار» باشد و چه «فریبکاری یک خرابکار» که می‌خواهد «رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا را به باتلاقی تازه بکشاند» و یا هر دلیل دیگری «نتیجه همیشه یکی است: ایرانیان هرگز در برابر فشار سر خم نمی‌کنند، ولی این دیپلماسی است که همواره قربانی می‌شود.»

او همچنین ارزیابی سازمان اطلاعات مرکزی آمریکا از ذخایر موشکی ایران را اشتباه توصیف کرد و نوشت: «ذخایر موشکی و ظرفیت پرتابگرهای ما نسبت به ۹ اسفند در سطح ۷۵ درصد نیست؛ رقم صحیح ۱۲۰ درصد است.»
